Cut Wire Shots

Cut Wire Shot Manufacturer & Supplier

We are engaged in offering a broad array of high quality cut wire shots. Cut Wire Shot is an abrasive material used for peening, cleaning, tumbling, and finishing. Cut wire shot has a spherical or cylindrical shape. Cut Wire Shot is constructed of high-quality wire that has been cut to a length that is approximately equal to its diameter. Cut Wire Shot can be formed of Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Zinc, Nickel Alloy, Copper, or other metal alloys, and is even named after it: zinc cut wire shots, copper cut wire shots, aluminum cut wire shots, and so on. Cut wire shot size is measured in mesh or millimeters. It is widely used in wheel blasting.
Steel Shots

Cut wire shots is natural Because the peening process necessitates a spherical, whole-bodied shot that resists fast changes in size and weight to offer continuous intensity. Cut wire shot has this quality because the wire used to make it has been heat-treated and cold-drawn to ensure hardness and homogeneity.

Cut wire shots will not fracture in use due to each piece’s balanced chemical characteristics and perfect integrity. In a peening operation, it gradually wears down and lasts for many cycles. Cut-wire-peened parts have a longer fatigue life than cast-shot-peened parts.

Cut Wire Shots Uses

  • Peening – Cut wire shot retains its peening intensity for a more extended period than other shot’s variety, resulting in cost savings. Cut wire shot is a natural choice for peening because the technique demands a spherical, whole-bodied shot that resists fast changes in size and weight to maintain continuous intensity. This quality is guaranteed in cut wire shots because the wire used to manufacture it is heat-treated and cold-drawn to achieve the desired hardness and homogeneity.
  • Tumbling – Tumbling and vibratory finishing can be performed on cut wire. The cylindrical shape of the particles allows for greater penetration into the fillets or recessed areas required for this task.
  • Cleaning – Cut wire shots with larger, huskier bodies can clean more quickly. Cut wire is therefore used to clean all types of metal. A surface that has been sliced wire cleaned is extraordinarily brilliant and smooth. Our pellets are full-bodied shots that include no scale or oxides. As a result, they produce no dust and leave a clean surface.
  • Plating Filler – Cut wire pellets can be used as fill-in metal plating applications where the quantity or volume of product to be plated is insufficient for a bulk plating process. Pellets can be used to increase the volume of parts in a bulk processing unit to a point where electrical current can flow continuously, hence avoiding the possibility of damage and insufficient plating thickness. Throughout the plating cycle, the pellets conduct electrical current, preventing make and break contact which would otherwise result in arcing and damage to the client product. After that, the shots can be removed from their coating and reused. Carbon steel or stainless steel might be utilized depending on the plating procedure and subsequent stripping method.
  • Features of Cut Wire Shots

  • Its spherical form with rounded edges makes cleaning easier. Your Blasting Machine’s cleaning capacity will be boosted by at least 25%.
  • Cut wire photos are more cost-effective since they may be utilized multiple times.
  • Shots can last for days or even weeks because of their fine grain size; they don’t break down into dust.
  • Excellent homogeneity in terms of size, hardness, and shape.
  • Peening/blasting shots should be as hard as Almen strips or the component being peened/blasted, if not harder than that.
  • When shot blasting a tonne of material, you’ll need 4 kilograms of wire shot; with chopped wire shoots, you’ll only need 1.5 kilograms.
